The moment Krystal walked through the door, I knew we were in for something special. Her big, infectious smile and bold, rolling laugh filled the coffee shop before she even sat down. It wasn’t long before she was spinning brilliant stories — the kind that make you forget you’ve only just met.

As we sipped our coffees and chatted, she showed me the art etched into her skin: a vibrant ‘Rock Pool’ leg where music met the sea in playful, unexpected ways, a glittering Disco Snail, and a beautifully detailed tattoo of Michelangelo’s David — a nod to an obsession she admitted with a grin. Each tattoo wove pieces of her life, her passions, and her humor into a living tapestry.

We talked about parenting, about her own father, about life’s quirks and joys. I was so wrapped up in her stories that for a moment I forgot — I was there to photograph her, too.

Krystal isn’t just someone you meet. She’s someone you remember.
